Krystian
Zimerman piano F. Chopin
(2nd Piano Sonata in b-minor op. 35 with the „Marche Funèbre“;
3rd Piano Sonata in h-minor op. 58, a.o.)
Could
there have been a better musician than Krystian Zimerman who is
undoubtably
linked to Chopin for the 200th birthday of this huge romantic
composer? Winner of the
Chopin Competition of Warsaw in 1975 at only 18 years Zimerman
is a quiet and
extremely ambitious musician performing only a few times per year.
A concert which
you should not miss!

With his music full of colors, Isaac Albéniz, who got inspired
by the richness and the
possibilities of folklore, contributed to give a new identity
to Spanish music. The top
of his work is “Iberia”, a cycle full of virtuosity to which the
composer dedicated
the last years of his life. Iberia is interpreted by four pianists
who present all of
Spain in music to the public.

alpha and omega
of the thinking of Martin Stadtfeld, very promising pianist of
the new generation.
It is thus no surprise that this “exceptional talent” who had
already been compared
to Glenn Gould will come to Echternach accompanied by his favourite

“There is no current piano trio formation committed so intensively
to Haydn’s work

Anderson they have mesmerized both the critics and the audience
with Haydn’s
Scottish Songs (“Delightful””, The Gramophone) which in Echternach
are musically
surrounded by two trios of Haydn and Beethoven.
