The
Luxembourg Society was formed in 1942 to promote closer relations and friendship
between Britain and the Royal Duchy.
Through
its regular informal meetings in London, it assists Luxembourgers to find
a circle of friends who are able and willing to help them during their
stay in this country.
It has particular relevance to students studying here.
Membership is appropriate to anyone who has dealings or has had dealings
with Luxembourg and would welcome meeting others with similar interests.
The meetings often contain a talk about a variety of subjects of general
interest and the Society combines, on occasion, with like societies associated
with other European countries.
Certain events may be arranged by one society who then invites members
from others to join them. This encourages a wider understanding of the
European community.
